Annalize Carelse

Specialised Kinesiologist

A qualified and registered Specialised Kinesiologist with the Association of Specialised Kinesiologists of South Africa (ASKSA). While my work primarily focuses on canines, felines and equines, I am open to working with any animal in need of support.

I didn’t choose this path — it found me. My introduction to kinesiology came during a time when I was searching for deeper answers, not just for myself, but for those I loved. I had seen how physical symptoms often masked emotional stress and how conventional approaches sometimes fell short in truly addressing the why behind dis-ease.

What kinesiology offered was more than a modality — it was a language. A way to listen to what the body couldn’t say in words. That alone was powerful. But the real shift happened when I began applying this work to animals.

I watched my own animals struggle with stress, anxiety, physical ailments — things I knew in my gut were rooted in more than just biology. As I became more involved in rescue work — helping shelters, fostering animals, and supporting those who had suffered trauma, neglect, or abandonment — I witnessed the invisible wounds they carried. I realized that animals, too, carry emotional imprints, energetic blockages, and trauma they can’t voice. And in that silence, I saw a calling: to become that voice for them.

That was the moment Anima-Therapies was born — not just as a service, but as a sanctuary. A place where animals are seen, heard, understood and honoured as whole beings — body, mind, and soul. Where healing happens through deep connection, energetic balance, and heart-led communication.

Today, I walk this path with gratitude — not just as a kinesiologist, but as a bridge between animals and their guardians, helping both heal in harmony.

I bridge the gap between human and animal healing through specialized, intuitive kinesiology tailored uniquely for animals — grounded in compassion, ethical practice, and deep energetic connection.

  • I work with animals, not just on
Consent, emotional safety, and communication are at the heart of every session. I listen to the animal’s subtle cues and only proceed when they are open and ready to receive.
  • I have adapted human kinesiology techniques specifically for animals.
With a strong foundation in specialized human kinesiology, I’ve refined my methods to address the unique needs of animals — blending physical, emotional, and energetic healing into a holistic, species-appropriate approach.
  • I honour boundaries — theirs and mine.
I know when to support and when to refer. My role is not to replace veterinary care or other animal integrative practices, but to complement it, working collaboratively when needed to provide the best possible path to healing.
  • I offer a sanctuary, not just a service.
Anima-Therapies isn’t a one-size-fits-all treatment — it’s a heart-led healing space where animals are seen as whole beings, and guardians are supported in understanding and helping their animal companions thrive.
